Migos 'TakeOff  ' New Lawsuit

The proprietors of 810 Billiards & Bowling persist in contesting the wrongful death lawsuit stemming from Takeoff's tragic shooting, placing blame on attendees, including the rapper himself. Nearly a year ago, Titania Davenport, Takeoff's mother, initiated the million-dollar lawsuit following her son's fatal shooting outside the bowling alley in November 2022. Allegations put forth by Davenport, as reported by the Los Angeles Times, contend that the Houston establishment was notified of the impending arrival of the Migos member and should have implemented heightened security measures. Although the lawsuit against the bowling alley was filed in June 2023, no settlements have been reached, and 810 Billiards & Bowling has petitioned for the dismissal of the case, staunchly refuting any culpability in Takeoff's demise, born Kirshnik Ball.

Moreover, fault has been attributed to Takeoff, as well as Quavo and others, for engaging in gambling activities outside the bowling alley. Davenport seeks compensation exceeding $1 million to address emotional distress, funeral costs, and Takeoff's personal injuries. In the legal realm, Kenneth Ball, Takeoff's father, and Davenport are embroiled in a dispute over the rapper's estate, exacerbated by his absence of a will. RapUp discloses Takeoff's posthumous wealth, estimated at no less than $26 million, further entangling Ball as an Intervenor in Davenport's litigation against the bowling alley.

Adding to the legal entanglement, Joshua Washington, Quavo's assistant, filed a lawsuit against 810 Billiards & Bowling in August 2023. Washington sustained injuries in the same shooting incident that abruptly ended Takeoff's life, alleging inadequate security measures and insufficiently trained personnel. According to RapUp, Washington suffered gunshot wounds to his right side and, amid the chaos, had to navigate his own way to the hospital.

Following Takeoff's untimely demise on November 1, 2022, law enforcement initiated an investigation into the crime. Utilizing a combination of video footage, audio recordings, and physical evidence, detectives identified Patrick Clark as the perpetrator, as reported by the Los Angeles Times. Clark was apprehended on December 1, 2022, and charged with Takeoff's murder. Despite maintaining his innocence, detectives pointed to fingerprints on a wine bottle allegedly wielded by Clark as instrumental in their identification of him, indicating he was holding a gun in one hand while firing the weapon that claimed Takeoff's life. Clark, having posted a $1 million bond, is currently under house arrest pending his next court appearance in August 2024.
